Biography

Lawrence Lina is a multi-faceted musician at ease with electric as well as acoustical guitars. He begun playing guitar at the age of 11 with different teachers and started in 2004 his three year musical study at the professional section of the ETM in Geneva.

Since 2007, he is the guitarist of Fernando Saunders, singer and former bass player of Lou Reed and Marianne Faithfull.

Being very active, Lawrence participates in numerous projects as stage musician but also as replacement guitarist in several formations, musicals and in the theater show of Yann Lambiel. He has been working also on different CD as studio guitarist and as well as composer-arranger; Fernando Saunders (USA), Sideburn, Jenny Lorant, co-production with SoWatt Music, Graciela (Spain), Mnémosyne, Dalibor Mraz (Czech), Saïko . . .

After several tours in Europe, he played with different formations at major events such as the supporting acts of Alanis Morisette, Manu Katché, Michael Jones, Gotthard at the ice hockey stadium of Neuchâtel, Airborne, Chris Slade (AC/DC) as well as Adidas Rock Stars at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart.

In 2012 he joins the Swiss hard rock group Sideburn with who he makes that year a single for the Adidas Rock Stars event in Germany and a reissue of the album Gasoline, followed by in 2013 the album Electrify and in 2017 the album #Eight.

At the same time he shares the stage with different artists such as Fernando Saunders (Lou Reed), Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep), Marc Storace (Krokus), Joel O'Keeffe (Airbourne), artists from New York like Daniel Mintseris (Peter Cincotti) and J.T. Lewis (Sting, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, the original drummer of the group Living Colour).
